The governing body of the Commission as prescribed by Act 821 is made up of :

  1. A Chairperson;
  2. The Chief Executive Officer of the Petroleum Commission;
  3. One representative of the Environmental Protection Agency not below the rank of Director;
  4. One representative of the Institution of Geo-scientists nominated by the Institute; and
  5. Three other persons at least one of whom is a woman.
