A joint delegation consisting of the top hierarchy of Koforidua and Tamale Technical Universities early on February called on the Petroleum Commission. On the back of the Commission’s co-ordinating efforts at consolidating the Accelerated Oil and Gas Capacity Building (AOGC) Programme, the delegation was at the Commission to follow-up on some earlier discussions held with them.
Previous discussions with the Commission have centered on ways by which the Commission will position various technical institutions to support in the development skills required for the upstream petroleum industry, in furtherance of the AOGC programme.
Receiving the delegation, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Prince Benjamin Aboagye expressed the Commission’s satisfaction with the delegation’s visit and reiterated the Commission’s determination to collaborate fully with the technical institutions.
Professor David Kofi Essumang, Vice Chancellor for the Koforidua Technical University on behalf of the delegation re-assured the Commission of their readiness to partner the Commission. He expressed their appreciation for the warm reception and hoped that the coming days will be mutually beneficial and ultimately Ghana’s upstream petroleum industry.
