As Africa Oil Week (AOW) 2026 wraps up, the Petroleum Commission, Ghana’s upstream petroleum regulator looks back on a conference marked by deliberate engagement, strategic conversations and a strong objective to position Ghana’s upstream petroleum sector favourably before investors and global industry leaders.

From meetings with Chevron, Baker Hughes and ExxonMobil to engagements with Shell, Petrobras, Eni and further discussions with Uganda National Oil Company, Viridien, SLB, Shearwater, TGS, BP, among other important stakeholders, the Commission kept Ghana’s investment proposition at the centre of every conversation.

The engagements provided opportunities to highlight Ghana’s hydrocarbon potential, deepen investor relationships, explore new opportunities and reinforce the country’s commitment to a competitive, responsible and sustainable upstream petroleum sector.

The conference ends but importantly, the search for strategic investment for Ghana’s untapped hydrocarbon resources continues, unabated.
