The Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Petroleum Commission, Ms. Emeafa Hardcastle welcomed a team from Halliburton on a courtesy visit led by its Senior Area Manager – Africa of the North, Mr. Gary Evans.
At the meeting, Mr. Evans extended a hearty congratulations to Ms. Hardcastle on her new role as the CEO of the Commission, and reiterated Halliburton’s commitment to collaborating with the Commission to advance Ghana’s upstream petroleum sector. The discussions covered a range of strategic topics, including Halliburton’s ongoing global restructuring efforts and the pursuit of more opportunities with Tullow Ghana Limited and Pecan Energies Ghana Limited for more local content opportunities for Ghana.
Ms. Hardcastle expressed her appreciation for the visit and acknowledged Halliburton’s contributions to Ghana’s oil and gas sector. She emphasised the Commission’s commitment to fostering an enabling environment for investment and collaboration, ensuring sustainable growth and development in industry.
“It’s good to know that Halliburton is putting more investments in Ghana and the Commission will continue to create the enabling environment for Halliburton’s growth in Ghana. . “As we envisage a lot more activity in the coming months, I am optimistic that these investments will pay off,” she said.
Halliburton, with its long-standing presence in Ghana’s oil and gas industry, reaffirmed its interest in deepening its engagement with key stakeholders in the area of capacity development to boost local content. The discussions also touched on potential areas of collaboration to advance green energy.
