Permit Application – Processes & Procedures

Following the lifting of restriction on movement by H.E. the President of the Republic of Ghana the Commission has put in place the following measures to govern the Permit Regime of the Commission.

The Commission is committed to serving its Clients and ensuring business continuity during the COVID-19 Pandemic period.

1.0     PURCHASE OF APPLICATION PACK (INITIAL)

All Applicants must purchase an Application Pack (See below for details)

2.0     SUBMISSION OF APPLICATIONS (INITIAL/RENEWAL)

The Commission continues to receive and process Permit Applications

2.1     MODE OF SUBMISSION (INITIAL/RENEWAL)

All applicants must submit applications with supporting documents to the Commission. Applications will be received at the EXIT GATE of the Commission. Security personnel at the Commission will assist applicants in this endeavour. 

2.2     DAYS FOR SUBMISSION (INITIAL/RENEWAL)

All applications must be submitted to the Commission on Mondays and Thursdays between the hours of 0900 and 1500

3.0     PROCEDURE FOR PAYMENT (INITIAL/RENEWAL)

To purchase an Application Pack, Applicants must purchase a GHS100 Banker’s Draft drawn in the name of the Petroleum Commission. Alternatively, Applicants may pay the GHS100 directly into the Commission’s bank account.

Applicants must scan a copy of the Banker’s Draft and/or deposit slip with invoice and/or other reference number boldly written on it and send to: fin1002@petrocom.gov.gh  and gcd_permitting@petrocom.gov.gh

Kindly provide the company name and email address(es) for which payment is being made on the pay-in-slip. The Commission will communicate to applicant via email address provided once value is received.

The Application Pack will then be sent via applicant’s email. Applicants who wish to pick up the Pack in person must do so at the times communicated through applicant’s email.

The Finance team will issue a receipt and scan same back to the applicant’s email address once value is received for the deposit.

DAYS FOR PICK-UP

The Commission shall notify all applicants through emails provided when Permits are ready. A copy of the Permit will be sent via email However should applicant desire to pick up hard copies of Permits they may do so on Mondays and Thursdays between the hours of 0900 and 1500
