Consolidated Energy Services Chamber, Ghana Visits Petroleum Commission.

The Ghana Oil and Gas Service Providers Association (GOGSPA) and the Upstream Petroleum Service Providers Association of Ghana (UPSPAG) have merged to create a new Chamber called Consolidated Energy Services Chamber, Ghana (CESCGHA) for upstream service providers.
The Acting Chairman of CESCGHA, Mr. Nuertey Adzeman, during a courtesy visit to the Commission stated that the purpose of the visit was to inform the Commission of the merger of the two associations joining as one entity to form CESCGHA.


“We hope PC will actively be involved in the affairs of the Chamber as most of the operators hold the Commission in high esteem”, he said.
The Chief Executive Officer of the Commission, Mr. Egbert Faibille Jnr. welcomed the members of CESCGHA and congratulated them on the merger and the creation of the new Chamber.

“The Commission is prepared to engage the Chamber on their plans and activities for their members. We hope the Chamber will also work with the Commission to educate members on the role of the Upstream Regulator”

, he added.


Mr. Faibille Jnr. advised CESCGHA to consider holding fora with their members to enlighten them on how to tender competitive bids and win contracts with International Oil Companies (IOCs).
In addition, the Director, Local Content, Mr. Kwaku Boateng stated that he is pleased with GOGSPA and USPAG coming together to form the Chamber. He noted that GOGSPA, as an association of service providers, has played a major role as an ally of the Commission especially with regards to local content activities.
“ The Commission is ready to support the Chamber in every way possible”, he assured.
The Director, Finance, Mr. Vincent Yankey, Director Human Capital, and General Services, Mrs. Adjoa Van-Vicker, Ag. Director, Localisation, Ms. Sarah Quayson Danquah, Ag. Director Operations, Mr. Henry Mensah, and Ag. General Counsel, Ms. Nana Akua Agyei all took turns to wish them well in their new establishment.
